Caution
・Before using the calculator, please ensure that you have made any necessary changes to the settings from the app menu.
・By default, the app is set to prevent your device from going to sleep while it is in use. Hence, please make sure to close the app after you have finished using it.
(Alternatively, on the "Advanced settings" screen, you can change the default setting to allow your device to go to sleep.)
Basic Usage
・Save a calculated value using drag and drop.
・Place a saved value on the current calculated result to edit the formula.
・Double tap on a saved value to add it to the end of a formula.
(If the end of the formula is an operation symbol, it just adds the number at the end. Otherwise, it also adds a plus symbol.)
・Long-press the "+" button to calculate the sum of all saved values.
・Delete an unwanted value simply by placing it in the trash can.
・Long-press the "C" button to clear all values.
Percentage Calculations
・Calculate ¥200 with an added 8%.
200 + 8% = 216
・Calculate ¥500 with a 20% discount.
500 - 20% = 400
・Calculate 20% of ¥500.
500 × 20% = 100
・Calculate the original amount before 8% was added resulting in ¥216.
216 ÷ 108% = 200
Calculations with/without Tax
Examples with a tax rate of 8%:
・Calculate the price inclusive of tax for ¥200.
200 ⇒ +TAX ⇒ 200 + 16 = 216
・Calculate the price exclusive of tax for ¥216.
216 ⇒ -TAX ⇒ 216 - 16 = 200
*The amount of tax is calculated from the calculation result at that point.
100 + 100 ⇒ +TAX ⇒ 100 + 100 + 16 = 216
*The decimals of the tax amount is rounded using the configured settings.
Constant Calculations
If you enter the same operation symbol twice after a value, the result of the calculation at that point is set as a constant, and the whole operation goes into constant calculation mode.
In this mode, you can execute a calculation that uses a constant value simply by pressing "=" repeatedly.
Press "C" to clear the constant and return to standard calculation mode.
Multiplication example:
・Calculate the total amount per year, with compound interest for three years, on ¥1,000,000 with an annual interest of 3%.
After entering 1.03, press "×" twice.
Enter 1,000,000 (The number used for setting the constant is overwritten, so there is no need to delete the 1.03).
Press "=" to calculate the amount after one year.
⇒ 1,000,000 × 1.03 = 1,030,000
Press "=" once more to calculate the amount after two years.
⇒ 1,000,000 × 1.03 × 1.03 = 1,060,900
Press "=" once again to calculate the amount after three years.
⇒ 1,000,000 × 1.03 × 1.03 × 1.03 = 1,092,727
*The same method can be used for addition, subtraction, and division.
*In constant calculation mode, long-press "=" to replace the formula with its result.
*When the app is closed, the constant is cleared.
